François joined GlobalFoundries (Santa Clara, CA) in May 2020, where he is currently VP Power Product Management within the Power Product Line of GlobalFoundries. He is responsible for the definition of Next Generation Silicon BCD, GaN HEMT and SiC MOSFET Power Technologies and Roadmaps, as well as feasibility evaluations of new technologies.
Prior to joining GlobalFoundries, he was Member of the Board of Qromis Inc (Santa Clara, CA) and was President and GM of VIS-Micro (Vanguard International Semiconductor, based in Taiwan), based in the Campbell, CA, where he was responsible for North American Sales, Account Management, and Field Technical Support activities, as well as co-leading Word-Wide Business Development.
Prior to Vanguard, François worked in Semiconductor Technology and Product R&D at IDM and Fabless companies including MagnaChip, Intersil (now Renesas), Alpha & Omega Semiconductor, Fultec (now Bourns), Linear Technology Corporation (now ADI), Spectrian (acquired by Cree), National Semiconductor (now TI) and Avantek (now Broadcom).
François Hébert received his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph. D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
François is inventor or co-inventor of more than 190 Granted U.S. Patents.
